Boulengerula taitanus is a Afrcian species of caecilian. Caecilians are snake or worm-like amphibians. They are found in tropical regions around the world.
Many caecilians take care of their offspring and some of them feed their young in an unusual way. The mother developing an fat and nutrient-rich skin which the young eat.
